Highlymotivated postdoctoral scientists are invited to lead several new fully fundedprojects to address fundamental questions using engineered proteins invitro and in vivo in the laboratory of Ryan Mehl at Oregon State University.Our recent developments in genetic code expansion has opened access to excitingprojects in engineered protein therapeutics,eukaryotic studies on proteindegradation mechanism,oxidative stress post-translational modificationregulation and bioorthogonal ligations in cells.

Researchers with training and expertise in any of the followingareas;molecular biology,chemical biology,protein biochemistry,chemicalsynthesis and/or eukaryotic cell culture are especially encouraged to apply.Those with skills in eukaryotic protein expression and stable cell linedevelopment are highly desired.Researchers with excellent written and oralcommunication skills and a strong publication record are also preferred.

The wide breadth of research topics and techniques in the Mehllab and its highly collaborative and interactive approach to science makes itan excellent interdisciplinary training environment.Researchers from the Mehllab have received prestigious fellowships and obtained independent academicfaculty positions as well as leadership positions in the biotech industry.
